How I study English(Week 5)

I began to study English when I was an elementary school student. I study English harder and harder. I had been to Washington Institute of Language for 14 years. Teachers taught me English kindly. I am studying English at KGU now. I also have the Eiken grade 2. I am studying the Eiken associate first grade now. I want to go to Canada to see my uncle and aunt, and I also want to test my English ability. My relative lives in Canada, so I sometimes correspond with them in English. I want to talk in English in a house.

Essay 3: Tell me about something you love!

Today, I will introduce something that I love. I have many kinds of things that I love.

              First, I love my niece. I have some pictures to show you on my iPhone6s. Look at these pictures. This is my niece, and her name is Yumi. She is really cute and charming, isn’t it? She always shows us smiles, so her smile makes us happy. She was born in April 26th of last year. So Yumi is 1 year old now. She is my older brother’s daughter. I sometimes take care of my niece with my parents, and take a walk with my older brother and his wife. I look forward to her growth.

              Next, I love my stuffed toy. I like my stuffed toy very much. Look at this picture. It is really cute, isn’t it? The name of this stuffed toy is StellaLou. This is a rabbit, and she is a girl. She wants to become a dancer. I bought this stuffed toy last week because many people bought it. I went to Tokyo Disney Sea with my parents. This is a new character of Tokyo Disney Sea. I like it very much.

             

Finally, I love my best friend. Her name is Narumi, and she works at the Drugstore Mori now. We are still good friends even now. Narumi is a little shy, but she is always kind to me. She went to Kyushu Gakuin high school, and she belonged to the chorus club. Her sings the alto part, so I sometimes helped her. I practiced with her after school, too. Narumi and I went to Huis Ten Bosch this spring vacation. She also likes Fukuyama Masaharu and Exile, and so do I. I bought some souvenirs for her, my parents, older brother and his wife, and my niece. They liked very much.

My first classes(Week 1)

My first classes are today. This is writing class. I haven't got a credit this writing class yet. So I have to get all credits including writing class. I also have reading class today, too. I don't have enough time to go to school because I have to look for a job. I am currently job hunting. Also, I have to write curricula vitae. I'm very busy now. I repeated a year, so I cannot graduate from KGU this year. I was very shocked. My parents got angry at me.

My Golden Week plan(Week 4)

My Golden Week plan is to go to Tokyo. This is my first time to go to Tokyo, so I am looking forward to it. One of my cousins gets married on May 7th. I wore long-sleeved kimono two years ago, but I wear a party dress this time.  I will go to Tokyo Disney Resort with my parents and my aunts because I have never been there. Which attractions do you like the best, and why? Please tell me more. I also go to Roppongi, Asakusa, Shibuya, Ginza, and Shinjuku. I can't wait for my Golden Week.

My hobbies(Week 3)

My hobbies are taking pictures, eating, driving, listening to music, and the others. Particularly, I like to go for a lunch by myself. I sometimes go to Starbucks, Baskin-Robbins, McDonald’s, Mister Donut, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Freshness burger. I went to Ippudo for the first time. It is a ramen shop, and it is very delicious. If you have a free time, please go there. I hope you like it.  But I have to go on a diet because I can't wear a party dress. So I try to not overeat.

Music I like(Week 2)

I like listening to music, but I rarely listen to K-pop, classical music, and Western music. So I'm not interested in K-pop. My favorite Japanese artists are SCANDAL, SILENT SIREN, Flower, miwa, Breakerz, B’z, GLAY, Mr. Children, NEWS, Arashi, and Wagakki band. Do you know Wagakki band? You don’t know, right? There are 8 members, and they play the electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, Tsugaru-jamisen, Koto, Japanese drum, and shakuhachi. They are very famous all over the world, so I love them. Please listen to the song. I hope you like it. This is really really nice!!!!!!!!!

Essay 2: My self introduction in 2037

I want to introduce myself. It is 2037, and I am 43 years old. I live in Canada with my husband and my children. My husband’s name is Akira. He is 46 years old, and he is 3 years older than me. He is very kind to us because he sometimes buys many kinds of toys, CDs, clothes, video games, shoes, and others things. He is Japanese, but he can speak English, Chinese, Korean, and Italian. He had lived in China, America, and Korea. He is very good at cooking, too. His job is a doctor, so he always helps many patients. He is always busy. He doesn’t smoke, but he loves alcohol. His parents live in Hokkaido.

I have a daughter and two sons. Their names are Aina, Satoshi, and Ritsuki. Aina is 9 years old, and she is very good at playing basketball. She has been practicing basketball since she was five years old. Ritsuki is 7 years old, and likes to listen to music. His favorite Japanese artists are B’z and Mr. Children.

I also have a niece. My niece’s name is Yumi, She is 21 years old, and she is a college student. She goes to Kumamoto University by motorcycle. Yumi likes studying very much. She is good at mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science, but she is not good at Japanese history and old Japanese classical literature. She wants to be a doctor in the future. She also likes to cook.

Satoshi is 12 years old. He belongs to the baseball club. His dream is to be a professional baseball player. He always plays baseball with his friends after school. His position is catcher. Satoshi also likes to listen to music. His favorite British artist is the Beatles. He loves Paul McCartney. He is interested in the bass guitar. He is a left-handed person, so he wants to buy a bass guitar that is left-handed. Aina and Satoshi always help me, and they sometimes take care of Ritsuki. He will be a junior high school student next year, so he is studying English, Japanese, mathematics, science, and social studies with his friends.

Essay 1: Homestay letter

Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Rina Takamoto, and I am a girl. Please call me Rina. I am 22 years old, so I have been living in Kumamoto city for 22 years. By the way, do you know where Kumamoto prefecture is? Kumamoto is a prefecture in the center of the Kyushu region. Kumamoto prefecture is very beautiful place to visit. Also, Kumamoto Castle and Suizenji Park are very famous for sightseeing. Many tourists visit these places. When you visit Kumamoto in the spring, you can see many cherry blossoms at Kumamoto Castle. However, in 2016, Kumamoto prefecture suffered several natural disasters including strong earthquakes and heavy rain. I didn't think that an earthquake was generated in Kumamoto. We were very shocked.

Next, I will introduce about my family. There are six people in my family. My father is a police officer, and he works every day at Aso police station. He always smokes, so he does not give up smoking. I wish he could stop smoking. He is very strict, but I like him very much. My mother works at a community center near the elementary school where I went to. She is very good at cooking and sewing. I like miso soup, nikujaga, curry and rice, and cream stew which my mother cooks. I have an older brother. He is a radiologist. He works at Kumamoto Saiseikai hospital. He is very kind to me. He likes driving and traveling. My older sister-in-law is a nurse. She is very kind to us, too. She gave birth to a baby last April. I have some pictures to show you. This is my niece. Her name is Yumi. Yumi is 1 year old, and she is very charming. I have become an aunt. She makes us happy.

Thank you very much for inviting me. I have really wanted to go to many places for a long time, so I am very exciting and nervous. I really want to go to Victoria, Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary.
