“Living
in the USA” (P. 16)
I read
this book. The title of the book is “The USA”. It is a little difficult to
understand, but it is very interesting book. What do you think about the United
States? What does America mean to you? Skyscrapers, President George
Washington, President Kennedy, fast food, big cars, cowboys, black people ivory,
or something? I think that the United States is famous for American football,
baseball, ice hockey, basketball, the Statue of Liberty, fast food, Central
Park, Grand Canyon, and Times Square. There are a lot of famous places in the
United States, too. Think of a big, empty land with mountains, forests, lakes,
animals and fish, but no people. This was America 30,000 years ago. I can’t
believe it. It has a lot of history in the United States. You know that there
are 50 states in the United States, don’t you? I didn't know that Florida was known as the “Sunset State” because it was so warm and sunny. Many people who
live in the United States like fast food. In addition, pizza, hamburger, steak,
Coca-Cola, and the others are very huge. I want to go to the United States, but
I don’t want to gain weight.
